Welcome to Rookie Roo Journals! I am Esther and I created Rookie Roo journals after suffering some challenging life events over the last five years.
Navigating my way through these events was tough, especially as I had little in the way of support. I had no outlet to vent, apart from a bog standard diary- there didn't seem anything out there journal wise that could help me keep on top of what was happening, especially as these events were all taking place one after the other, and sometimes at the same time as each other!
I was trying to cope with bereavement, ailing parents, more bereavement, child mental health and serious health complaints within my brood of animals (who mean the world to me)
And no one was looking after me.
What I needed were some individual journals where I could focus on one thing at a time, somewhere that I could record events as they happened, a handy reference guide in some cases which would have been a god send if I had had access to something like that in those moments.
I needed journals that were more comprehensive and tailored to what I was going through.
I'm not saying that I needed a journal like I describe for every event of my life but one or two would have been very helpful!
I began thinking about how I could create journals that would help others with their life challenging events and simply began with what had been my own pain points. I knew that there would be others that would be going through a similar experience.
